On the morning of November 25th, the kids wanted to surprise Duane with breakfast in bed for his birthday. They made him a card and colored him some pictures. They sure love their daddy!!!

On November 24th, we had a party for Kalle's (2nd), and Duane's (undisclosed!) birthdays! SO fun to watch a two year old open presents! She got SO excited!!!

She LOVED her little bunny purse from Grandma and Grandpa Danielson. Here she is thanking them! She also LOVED the pink stroller from "Gma Saren" and "Gpa Dim"! :o)


Kalle had a great time at her party! It was really special to have BOTH sets of grandparents there!

On Kalle's ACTUAL birthday (Tues. 27th), Duane broke out the 2-bite brownies, and had a little mini-party while Jem. and I were at Pioneer Girls. :o)

This fall we read a couple of great books called Dolphin Adventure and Dolphin Treasure, by Wayne Grover. They are true stories by an undersea diver who saved the life of a baby dolphin, and later HIS life was saved by the same baby dolphin!...pretty incredible! The kids loved the stories so much. We went on a field trip to the scuba dive shop and pool, and studied the ocean. The homeschool co-op had an "Accomplishments Fair", so Jemma decided to make an ocean diorama based on the books we read. She did a great job!

Siri has been working VERY hard on her alphabet book, drawing pictures that begin with the same sound as each letter. She is a great little artist! The girls had to present their projects to the rest of the group of about 40 or 50 people. I was so proud of them! :o)

On December 1st, we went to the library in Okotoks, and there was Santa sitting near the front desk! The kids all know the deal about Santa, but they were pretty excited nonetheless!...especially Nate (although you can't tell by this expression!) :o)

Kalle was so enthralled with Santa that, while we were looking for books, she ran back to him, dragged a chair RIGHT beside him, and plopped herself down! Jemma thought it was so funny, she wanted to take this picture.
